The Melanesian kingfisher (''Todiramphus tristrami'') is a species of bird in the Alcedinidae family. It is endemic to the Bismarck Archipelago and the northwest and central Solomon Islands. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and plantations.
